अभ्युदय ABHYUDAYA

Narendra Kohli studied the entire material of the Ramayana and wrote a huge 1300 page novel "Abhyudaya" in four parts (now published in 2 volumes). This is also published in 7 volumes as RAM KATHA. It was perhaps the first novel in any language that dealt with the entire Ramayana. It is a historical novel which is contemporary, progressive, modern and based on logic. Its basic story line comes from the cultural tradition of India and therefore it portrays the higher values of life.

अभ्युदय shows the greatness of humankind and the boundlessness of life. It frees the reader from all dilemmas of intellect and tradition. It offers answers to his questions and solutions for his doubts. It has had a trend-setting impact on contemporary Hindi writing. 

Narendra Kohli is probably the best known and certainly the most highly paid living Hindi novelist in India. Through his writings, he has made an important contribution towards the enrichment of literature and the progress of society.

His epic novels based on the Mahabharata and its various characters and on  Vivekananda are extremely successful and have set new records for the sales of Hindi books by contemporary writers.
